Cecilia Berin

Cecilia Berin is the Bunning Professor for Food Allergy Research, and was recruited to Northwestern from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in 2022. Her lab studies the immune basis of allergy and tolerance to foods through high dimensional analysis of specimens from human cohorts. She is particularly interested in understanding the immune basis of treatment response to novel therapies, the immune basis of poorly understood non-IgE-mediated food allergies, and in discovering mechanisms responsible for susceptibility to allergic disease in early life.
